PresidentA Silicon Valley veteran, Ms. Krammer has deep experience guiding healthcare and other enterprises to identify and fulfill unmet consumer needs. She has overseen marketing at diverse companies, such as aesthetic market leader Reliant Technologies, biomedical engineer Medtronic, print imaging manufacturer Tektronix and telecommunications giant AT&T. She has also counseled companies, such as American Express, GSK, Medicis Pharmaceuticals and Weight Watchers NA. Krammer graduated from the University of South Carolina and completed post-graduate studies at Webster University and the University of Paris – Sorbonne.

Chief Financial OfficerMr. Kitchener has over 20 years of broad financial leadership experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, accounting and investor relations. He has a diverse industry background in financial services, high-technology companies such as Cisco Systems and Synopsys, and with the high-growth medical-technology company, Cepheid, where he served as vice president of finance. Kitchener holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from University of California, Santa Cruz.

Kin F. Chan, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President of Research and TechnologyDr. Chan is a serial biomedical entrepreneur who has developed novel, effective therapies for diverse medical conditions. His research and product development experience spans semiconductors, lasers/photonics, medical devices and biomedical sciences. He has therapeutic experience in dermatology, cardiology, urology and ophthalmology. Prior to BioPharmX, Chan was Vice President of Engineering at Demira, where he helped develop photodynamic therapies, and directed advanced research at Solta Medical, where he helped create fractional photothermolysis technology. He is a named inventor on more than 25 patents and pending patent applications. Chan holds a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also achieved his bachelors and masters degrees.

Executive Vice President of Regulatory and Clinical AffairsMs. Daniels is a microbiologist and biochemist by training and holds multiple patents. She has authored or contributed to dozens of peer reviewed articles and abstracts on subjects ranging from in vitro assays to breast cancer prevention. For the last 35 years she has held technical and executive level positions in start-up and development stage pharmaceutical and medical device companies working in the areas of implantable biomaterials, oncology, women’s health, pain, urology and interventional neuroradiology. She has been responsible for all aspects of company operations and has specific expertise in design and implementation of clinical and regulatory strategy for new product development. Prior to joining BioPharmX, she led the botulinum neurotoxin program at Johnson & Johnson, the clinical research program for Boston Scientific Neuromodulation and served as an independent consultant for a number of pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Senior Vice President, Corporate DevelopmentA seasoned executive with decades of experience in creating license, distribution and other agreements, Ms. Bots will guide BioPharmX Corporation’s licensing and strategic partnerships. During her three-decade career, she has used licensing, partnerships and strategic acquisitions to boost the sales and profitability at several multinationals. As head of the global skincare business of Royal Philips Electronics NV, she oversaw partnership development and acquisitions, managed joint ventures with companies around the world and launched R&D programs resulting in products sold internationally. Earlier, she managed Philips’ Oral Health Care operations in EMEA leading to growth and profitability. Ms. Bots has also served in executive roles where she built, inspired and managed multi-cultural teams at Aon Risk Solutions, Reed/Elsevier, Beam Suntory, Altadis USA and Royal Agio Cigars. She has a degree in Economics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and she has studied at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and Babson College in Boston.

Jack Kessler, Ph.D.
Scientific AdvisorDr. Kessler has more than 35 years of applied development experience in the areas of iodine-based formulations, bio-analytical assays, in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical devices and regulatory affairs. He is a named inventor on more than 20 U.S. patents for analytical assays, IVD medical devices, iodine-based disinfectants and formulations and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Kessler has also authored more than 20 publications and book chapters and participated on six federal research grants from the National Institute of Health and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He received a doctorate in biochemistry from SUNY at Syracuse and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

The Therapeutic Dermatology Advisory Board is composed of seven dermatology thought leaders who together bring years of experience in clinical care, academia and research treating all forms of acne. Therapeutic Dermatology Medical Advisory Board
Neal Bhatia, MD
Co-ChairDr. Neal Bhatia serves as the director of clinical dermatology at Therapeutics Clinical Research in San Diego. He served as interim program director and as an associate clinical professor at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Division of Dermatology. He has a background in immunology and has interests in systemic diseases as well as mechanisms of therapy, skin cancer, acne and rosacea. He is also active at many levels in the American Academy of Dermatology, and sits on several editorial and industry advisory boards. He is an active teacher for dermatologists, primary care physicians and patients. He has published in several journals and serves as editor for "Practical Dermatology." Dr. Bhatia completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he later served as an associate clinical professor and ran his private practice for nearly ten years before relocating to California.
Hilary Baldwin, MD
Co-ChairDr. Hilary Baldwin, a board-certified dermatologist with nearly 25 of years of experience, is medical director of the Acne Treatment and Research Center in Morristown, N.J. Previously, she was associate professor and vice chair of the dermatology department at the State University of New York, where she spent more than 20 years caring for patients, conducting clinical studies and teaching hundreds of students. She was a founding board member and president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society an alliance of dermatology medical professionals dedicated to elevating the understanding and treatment of two of the world’s most common dermatological conditions. Dr. Baldwin graduated from Boston University School of Medicine with honors.
Diane S. Berson, MDDr. Diane Berson is an associate professor of dermatology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and an assistant attending dermatologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She has a private practice in New York City focusing on medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, and cutaneous oncology. Dr. Berson is past president and a current director of the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She is also a director of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Medical Council of the Skin Cancer Foundation, a trustee of the Dermatology Foundation, and a founder of The American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery and the American Acne and Rosacea Society. Dr. Berson received her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine, and was chief resident in dermatology at SUNY Downstate under Dr. Alan Shalita.
James Del Rosso, DODr. James Del Rosso is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 25 years of experience in dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He is an internationally recognized leader in dermatology who teaches colleagues about skin diseases and has published extensively on several topics, including acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis and skin cancer. He is past president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society (AARS), the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is very active in clinical research and is editor-in chief of the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology. In addition, he currently serves as chair of the AARS Education Committee and as a member of the Rosacea International Study Group. He also maintains a dermatology practice in Las Vegas. Dr. Del Rosso completed his medical degree at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Julie Harper, MDJulie Harper, MD
Dr. Julie Harper is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice at the Dermatology and Skin Care Center of Birmingham, Ala. She is founding director of the American Acne and Rosacea Society, which was organized in 2005, and is the organization’s current president-elect. Dr. Harper has a private dermatology practice that focuses on general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and currently serves on the AAD’s Acne Work Group, tasked with writing acne treatment guidelines. Dr. Harper is also a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and past president of the Alabama Dermatological Society. She received her medical training at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Diane Thiboutot, MDDr. Diane Thiboutot is an endowed professor of dermatology at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, and the associate dean of Clinical and Translational Research Education at Penn State University College of Medicine. Listed in “The Best Doctors in America,” she is a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society and is recent past president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society. In her practice at Hershey Medical Center, she specializes in the care of patients with acne and rosacea. Dr. Thiboutot directs research programs with the support from the National Institutes of Health and partners in the pharmaceutical industry. She received her medical degree and residency training in dermatology at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and University Hospital.
Guy Webster, MD, PhDDr. Guy Webster, who has been named one of America’s Best Doctors, is a clinical professor of dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and a published author. He was the founding president of the American Acne and Rosacea Society and a fellow of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a member of the Society for Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Webster has published numerous articles in a wide variety of publications. He serves on the editorial boards of several dermatology publications. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chairman of the Board of DirectorsMichael Hubbard served as a senior audit partner at Deloitte & Touche LLP from August 2007 until retiring in June 2014 and also at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from September 1986 to July 2007. In these roles, he served private and publicly held clients across the life sciences, waste management, construction, and technology sectors, advising domestic and international issuer companies on complex transactions, including 19 IPOs and numerous follow on equity and debt offerings. Mr. Hubbard holds a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and an MBA degree from Washington State University. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Washington and California and is a certified practitioner of international financial reporting standards.

DirectorStephen Morlock served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc. from May 1994 until his retirement in June 2004. He also served as Controller from August 1992 to April 1994. Prior to that, he held various management positions in accounting, financial planning, and internal audit at Westinghouse Electric Supply Company from November 1977 to July 1992. Since his retirement in June 2004, Mr. Morlock has not been active in any business activities. Mr. Morlock holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from San Diego State University.
DirectorGreg Vontz currently serves as chief executive officer at BlackThorn Therapeutics. Prior to that he served as chief executive officer and president at Topica Pharmaceuticals from August 2008 to December 2016. He also served as president, chief operating officer, and member of the board of directors at Connetics Corporation from 1999 to 2006. Prior to joining Connetics, Mr. Vontz spent 12 years at Genentech in various senior marketing and product development roles. Mr. Vontz is a graduate of the University of Florida and received a Masters in Business Administration from the Hass School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
